Planning to take the IELTS test in Nepal? Here’s what you need to know about the latest fee changes that affect all test takers from July 1, 2025.
What’s Changing?
Starting July 1, 2025, the IELTS test fee in Nepal has been officially updated. Whether you are taking the paper-based or computer-based format, new fees now apply for all bookings.
These rates were introduced on June 8, 2025, but will be applicable for all July and future test bookings.
New IELTS Fee Structure in Nepal (Effective for July Tests)
Test Format | New Fee (NPR) |
---|---|
IELTS on Paper | 36,200 |
IELTS on Computer | 33,000 |
IELTS for UKVI (Paper) | 34,000 |
IELTS for UKVI (Computer) | 28,800 |
Note: These fees apply to both British Council and IDP test centers across Nepal.
Why the Change?
The fee adjustment reflects updates in administration, currency fluctuations, and operational costs across global IELTS centers. While the change was implemented in early June, many students will first notice it now in July bookings.
